About these terms
WiserInbox is provided by Wiser Inbox Pty Ltd (ACN 703 652 733, ABN 65 703 652 733) of 307/147 Pirie Street, Adelaide SA 5000, Australia ("we", "us", "our").
These terms apply when you visit wiserinbox.com, create an account, or use the WiserInbox app (together, the "service"). By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the service for a business or other organisation, you agree to these terms on its behalf and confirm you have authority to do so.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- Give us accurate details, keep them up to date, and verify your email address.
- Keep your password, passkeys and two-factor codes safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us straight away at support@wiserinbox.com if you think someone else has access.
- Every account comes with a personal organisation. You can also create or join shared organisations. The owner of an organisation controls its plan, billing and membership, and owners and admins can invite or remove members and remove inboxes connected to it.
Connecting your email
You can connect Gmail and Google Workspace, Outlook and Microsoft 365, and other mailboxes over IMAP. Only connect mailboxes you own or are authorised to connect. If a mailbox belongs to your employer or a client, make sure their policies allow it.
When you connect a mailbox you allow us to:
- copy its messages, folders and attachments into WiserInbox and keep them in sync;
- mark a message as read in your mailbox when you open it in WiserInbox;
- flag a message, or move it to your mailbox's trash, when you choose to.
WiserInbox does not send email for you, and our AI features never change your mailbox. By default, new mail in your inbox is analysed automatically and clear tasks and calendar events are added for you. You can switch either of these off in your settings and review suggestions yourself instead.
You can disconnect or remove a mailbox at any time from your inbox settings. You can also withdraw our access from your Google or Microsoft account settings.
AI features
WiserInbox uses AI to triage, summarise and check your email, and to suggest tasks and events. AI can make mistakes. Summaries may miss details, priorities may be wrong, and security checks will not catch every phishing or fraud attempt. A message held in quarantine may turn out to be safe.
Treat what the AI produces as a helpful starting point, not as professional, legal, financial or security advice, and check anything important before relying on it. You are responsible for decisions you make using the service.
Plans, credits and payment
Plans
We offer a free plan and paid plans billed monthly or annually. The features, inbox limits and credits included in each plan are shown on our pricing page when you subscribe.
Prices and tax
Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax. Australian customers are charged GST on top, and other taxes may apply depending on where you are. Your bank may also charge currency conversion fees. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Renewal
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period, and we charge the payment method on file, until you cancel. If a payment fails we may retry it, and if it still fails we may limit your organisation to read-only access until the plan is paid.
Credits
- Credits pay for AI analysis such as summaries, suggestions and closer security checks. Basic triage does not use credits.
- Each plan includes a set number of credits a month. Unused plan credits expire when the next month's credits are added.
- Paid plans can buy top-up credits, either one-off or automatically when the balance runs low. Top-up credits do not expire while the organisation exists.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred between organisations, and are not refundable except as set out below.
Price changes
We may change our prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a change affects your plan, and it will apply from your next billing period. If you don't want to continue at the new price, you can cancel before it takes effect.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancelling a plan
The owner of an organisation can cancel its plan at any time from the billing page. Cancelling stops the plan renewing. You keep the plan, and the credits it includes, until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund the unused part of a billing period.
Deleting an organisation or account
Deleting an organisation, or deleting your account (which deletes the organisations you own on your own), ends their plans straight away. There is no refund for the rest of the billing period, and any unused credits, including top-up credits, are lost.
Your rights under Australian law
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have to a refund or other remedy under the Australian Consumer Law, for example if the service has a major failure.
Acceptable use
You must not use the service to:
- break the law or anyone's rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights;
- access a mailbox or data you are not authorised to access;
- send spam, phishing or malware, or support fraud;
- probe, scan, overload or disrupt the service, or get around its security, rate limits or credit limits;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it; or
- build a competing product using the service or its outputs.
Your content
You keep ownership of your email, attachments, tasks, events and other content ("your content"). You give us permission to store, copy and process your content only as needed to provide, secure and support the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.
You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to use it with the service. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
Our service
We work to keep WiserInbox available and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If we remove a major feature from a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.
The service connects to third-party services such as Google, Microsoft and your email provider. We are not responsible for those services, and changes they make may affect what WiserInbox can do.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your settings.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, if you don't pay, if we are required to by law, or if we need to protect the service, our users or others. Where it is reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we close the service entirely, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and refund any unused part of a paid billing period.
When an account is closed we delete its data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Consumer law and liability
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those guarantees or any other right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that:
- the service is provided "as is", and we make no other promises about it;
- where the law lets us limit our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill; and
- our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, or to loss caused by our fraud or wilful misconduct.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will show the date of the latest version at the top of this page. If a change materially affects you, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia and the courts that can hear appeals from them. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring a claim where you live.
If a part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest still applies.
